Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.

Put simply, it’s a Google Search just for scholarly articles.

There isn’t a lot to say about Google Scholar really, it’s a useful tool if you want to search for research papers, articles or case law without all the gumpf that a normal Google search gives.

The search options allow you to drill down your findings too, you can find papers written in the last year for example or between a custom date range.

It also gives you the option to easily cite that website or link in your own work.
