Rules, Regulations & Policies
When you use our college’s computers, electronic information or communication facilities, you must comply with a specific set of rules.
These rules aren’t just our college rules. Some of them are imposed by other organisations that provide access to networks and software. Other rules respond to legislation that applies to all organisations using computer facilities.
IT Services is responsible for a number of official policies which cover security, usage and management of IT equipment and services.
The IT Acceptable Use Policy is essential reading. It covers the codes of conduct and regulations relating to how we use all Barton Peveril computer, electronic information and communication facilities.
The E-Safety Policy outlines the college’s approach to electronic safety. It is important that you read this.
The college encourages the use of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) for students, offering IT support for access to the college WiFi systems. It is important you read the Student BYOD Policy if you are using your own device to connect to college systems and services.
