The college has invested in Google Workspace for Education Plus which includes unlimited use of the plagiarism checker built into Google Classroom. Originality reports can be enabled on assignments to automatically check student for plagiarism from websites, books, and other students. To learn more about Originality Reports watch this video:

Set a Due date and time the assignment must be completed by and Schedule the assignment to appear at the start of the assessment. If there are students with extra time in your classes it is best to set up a separate assignment for them.

The simplest way to invigilate students remotely is with an individual Google Meet for each student, which can then be recorded. IT are creating a Google Sheets add-on that will enable you to quickly create and schedule Meets for a class so all you would have to do is logon to each and press record.

Restricting internet access is only possible for students working on campus using a college-owned device such as a PC or Chromebook. IT Services can implement these restrictions for students requiring a word processor access arrangement or for controlled assessments that would normally take place on computers. Please ensure IT Services are notified at least two weeks before the assessment to set these restrictions up.
