Tutor Programme

We have had a number of queries about how students’ tutorial sessions are appearing on their timetables so would like to offer clarification. As a first year student at Barton Peveril, you have three hours of tutor a week. You will have a one and a half hour taught session which is marked by your tutor’s name and a room location on your timetable. You will also have an additional online session labelled ‘Tutor Programme’.

The ‘Tutor Programme’ session on your timetable represents the one and half hours that you are expected to use to complete your online tutor content every week. The online lesson will be shared every Monday morning via your tutor group’s Google Classroom but you can complete it at a time that is convenient for you. Each week’s lesson can be accessed independently and will consist of a recording to watch and various tasks to complete. If you are using a study period at college to complete these tasks, you will need headphones but these can be purchased from the college shop. You will be expected to complete your tutor work by the Sunday after it has been set, as tutors will be checking on a Monday for work completion.

If you have further questions, your tutor will be able to answer these when you attend your taught session next week.
