Office – How can I disable Presenter View in PowerPoint?

Microsoft PowerPoint includes a special display mode called Presenter View. When enabled, your presenter notes will be displayed on one screen, i.e. the PC screen, whilst the audience is shown note-free slides on the second screen or projector.

Unfortunately, this can cause some issues with projectors losing the display signal when exiting from presentations. To prevent this from occurring, you can disable Presenter View in PowerPoint.

To disable Presenter View:

  1. Open PowerPoint
  2. Click the ‘SLIDE SHOW’ tab on the menu ribbon.
  3. Untick ‘Use Presenter View’
