Offsite Printing

There may be a time when you need to print a document to the PrinterPool queue whilst you are not onsite, such as in the morning before an afternoon lesson.

All college-provided Chromebooks have this capability enabled by default: you can print to any of the PrinterPool queues as normal and release your print when you are onsite.

If you want to do this from your own device, then just drop us a helpdesk ticket and we will send you an invitation URL which will guide you through the setup process. Don’t worry, it’s simple and noninvasive and you only have to do it once.

Offsite printing is currently supported on

  • Chrome OS – e.g. your own Chromebook
  • Windows – e.g. your own Windows laptop
  • Apple macOS – e.g your own MacBook

Android and Apple iOS support is coming soon.

Please be aware that the PrinterPool queue will only hold your document for 12 hours, so if you send a document to print the evening before, you’ll need to release it first thing in the morning. Any print jobs that timeout will not be charged.
