What is Moodle?

Moodle is the older College Virtual Learning Environment containing resources and activities for nearly every course in college. Most subjects have moved on to using Google Drive and Google Classroom but some still use Moodle.

How do I access Moodle and find my courses?

You may not need to access Moodle unless your subject uses it. You can find your subject course materials by locating that subject on the myBarton Courses page. Alternatively, your teacher should tell you where to find the materials for their subject.

What happens the first time I access a course in Moodle?

When you click on a course for the first time you will be asked if you want to enrol, click yes and after that the list of courses you are enrolled on will appear on the Moodle front page as a link directly to the course.

You can delete any course from this list by clicking the red cross next to each course name.

Access outside college

Moodle is accessible in any web browser from anywhere, you can also upload assignments into Moodle from home if these have been set up by your teacher.  You will find it on the Intranet home page under Quicklinks or again by searching the Subject on the myBarton Courses page.
